Easy Vacation Hairstyles , 0 Comments
When travelling let’s face it - you want your hair styling effort to be seamless (you don’t want a suitcase full of hair tools - hehe, or do you?), yet still look fantastic! You also may be thinking about hot weather, chlorine, and sea salt which offer up some additional challenges to your locks. Here are some gorgeous styles from daytime boho-chic to evening glam that are super easy to create!
Simple Top Knot
Section a small piece of hair right on the top of your head and brush it straight up to minimize any bumps, creating a smoother look. Secure with a clear elastic band. Next, take this high ponytail and wrap it around itself, holding it in place with a few bobby pins. Since this is a half down look, you can either keep the bottom half of your hair sleek and straight, loose and sexy (sea salt optional!), or even add some sultry waves to complete the look!
Sleek Braid Wrapped Bun
This style is perfect for a more elegant, evening look. Bring your hair into a low ponytail by gathering all your hair and smoothing it over with your fingertips (or use a fine-toothed comb to make it sleeker and tighter). Secure with an elastic band. Now gently tug on the hair at the sides of your head to slightly loosen up the look. Next, braid your ponytail into a regular 3-strand braid by isolating 3 equal parts and placing the outside part over the middle, repeating on the opposite side until you’ve reached the end of your hair shaft. Secure with an elastic band. To add more volume to your braid, gently tug on the sides to pull them out slightly. Next, it's time to make your flower bun! Simply wrap this braid around itself and secure with bobby pins. Finish with some 24K Gold Beauty Oil for some additional shine!
Whimsical Rose Bun
This last style combines some of the techniques of the first two. First, section off a small piece of hair towards the front of your head about a few inches in thickness. Now you’re going to do a regular 3-strand braid with this section of hair, braiding it towards the back of your head. Don’t tie it off just yet - use a bobby pin to secure the ends in the mean time. Now, take another small section of hair from the opposite side of your head and repeat. Take both braids that you’ve just created to the back of your head and tie them together with a clear elastic band. Complete your 3-strand braid down the new ponytail you’ve created and secure with another clear elastic. Finally, wrap this braid around itself to create the rose flower effect at the back of your head and hold it in place with a few bobby pins. Since this can be another half-up, half-down look if you choose, you can add some whimsical waves for a bohemian-chic vibe!
