Consuming anything coconut is great for you but it is also great when used on the exterior. Coconut oil is rich in antioxidants, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties that can improve the overall health of your hair and scalp. These properties fight off bacteria and viruses in your scalp that play a role into having a dry, itchy scalp, dandruff, and hairs loss. The lauric acid (filled with essential chain fatty acids) found in coconut oil penetrates deep into the hair shaft, improving the health of your hair. It's high moisture retention will help repair damaged, dry and brittle hair.

Honey like coconut oil also helps retain moisture and keeps the hair conditioned to allow for less breakage. The high antioxidant properties found in honey help strengthen hair follicles. The antibacterial properties properties aid with dandruff and eczema scalp problems; all while minimizing hair follicle impurities that may lead to clogging, then to hair loss. Honey is filled with vitamins and minerals that will give you healthier and shinier locks.
